Well, looks like I somehow caught a severe case of “summer blues” last year, that’s why I didn’t code much in my spare time in the last couple of months. But now I’m slowly getting back in the saddle.

One hindrance remains: I really need a new PC! I know, bad timing for buying such stuff, but the slowness of my current machine actually breaks the little bit of flow/being-in-the-zone that I have left on some days. Now I need to bring me up-to-date on what the state-of-the-art PC technology is…

Anyways, here’s a short break down on some of the things that I could accomplish in the meantime nevertheless:

The Nifty Oddity Toolkit:
- Added TNOT::TextUtilities::replacePlaceholder()
- Updated TNOT::TextUtilities::joinStrings() and TNOT::TextUtilities::splitString()
Updated Hotkey to version 1.1, which adds hotkeys for german umlaut insertion.
Picked up the work on my Jukebox project again (the repository is not yet public, and I’m also not sure about the name); playing around with TagLib and SQLite for that.
Some additions to my Powershell Code Snippets collection
A little update to my git-helper.py script, which now also checks the ahead/behind-status of the remotes.
Added a better/local/real search functionality to this very site (saoe.net), based on a JSON array and a bit of JavaScript; it replaces the Google Site Search, which never worked well here anyways. The knowlegde and code for it comes mostly from a german blog post, with a bit of customization for my own purposes.
